Scarves and fingerless gloves and a thank you to my SP

With the yarn I have gotten from my SP I've been able to make a Kindle cover but not more fingerless gloves or another scarf! Maybe it's telling me something, that I don't need to keep making them with summer coming, but last year summer wasn't that great because it was only really warm for like a week or two in total. Therefore I think I should keep making them and I'll end up with a large amount of them to mix and match :)
What I need to buy next week I hope is another few skeins of this marble yarn that I've fallen in love with, I bought enough for a scarf but four more and I'll be able to make myself really tight and perfect matching set for a change! I could most likely do it with just two skeins but three would be better make them longer on my hands and use some of the new purple/pink/blue yarn from my SP as an accent in the scarf ends and same with the fingerless gloves!

Because I've been getting some of the best yarn I know my next set will be amazing with the colour choices :)
Thank you again SP for some of the best yarn colours and for taking the time to get to know about me and see what I like and take the time to shop for it, many many thanks!!!

Finally A Holiday!!!

Ystwyth Forest for an exciting week of exploring what the wheelchair will allow, and a few other sights in the area that are wheelchair accessible. We're confirmed and just need to finish off the payments which I have months to pay, we're good and then we just need to buy the food before we go, fresh stuff while there and warm clothing!!

I know the dogs are going to love this, now to get my Welsh up to speed and I'll be set! LOL

Yarn Colours

I just got the most beautiful coloured yarn from my SP she got me perfect on this one the purple, pink, blue is totally perfect for me and I can't wait to figure out what to do with it.
On the last package I got my 1st from her, I was able to make a beautiful Kindle case! I used the white, pink and purple all at once on the loom! Very difficult managing it all but so worth it I need to get the camera and the card liking the computer because it's a beautiful cover and because I got amazing colours from her!
She's done her homework because I've gotten in each package beautiful colours, great sizes in yarn to use on my board and looms. I need chunky/bulky on them or a few 4ply at once to make it thicker like what I did with the cover. These yarns I just got are nice and thick and perfect!

I thank you again and again for fantastic yarns and delicious candy!!

Crufts

Finally a FlatCoat Retreiver won Crufts last night!!!!

He's 9 years old and adorable he's so handsome it was amazing!!
He was hyper, tongue lolling out and just very proud and majestic! He owned that ring and it was amazing!!

The hairy Basset won RBIS. She is the youngest at like I think 17 months old. She is beautiful and very adorable so both of us are happy!!

Finally A Holiday!!!

I finally found the best place in the world where I want to have a holiday!! The dogs are welcome, all we have to do is bring the food and it'll be the best no computer or mobile phone!!

A house in a state forest, just wonderful perfect for us and we can't wait to go if anything it's so cheap and just bringing your own food and extra wood for the fireplace all the better!!
It's two rooms cozy and lovely, we can only hope it'll be perfect for when we're there! Going over Baxter's birthday which should be fun! Baxter will love this place just open the door and he can run and play for hours or we drive to the Mountains and have a nice explore there. It's all wheelchair accessible so I won't be missing out on anything of what I want to do :)

All I know is that this is looking to be the perfect holiday ever...
Tom never went on one with me, Si and I had a tiny holiday many many years ago.
So this one will be the best because there's nothing but wilderness around us and like I said no computer or mobile phone to distract Simon from me or the dogs!!

Deposit, payments and then HOLIDAY!!!!!

Life getting in the way!!

Things have been such a mess, my health has been down hill more then normal...
After putting Key Lime down we finally got a new puppy named Keagan, he's a Cavalier King Charles. He's adorable and is 14 weeks old this week. He's not learning anything yet but we'll get there!

Health I can only hope things get better soon as I'm afraid that it'll continue on the worse side....

My knitting has slowed down, I'm doing a lot of nothing but still go to my classes on Wednesdays, we have just made a bunch of men#s winter hats for the homeless shelter, I knitted six in less the a week but ran out of oddball yarn. So I asked around but I need to get more yarn from anyone who can donate the yarn to me.

I think the best thing is that I'm working on things, slowly and have a ton of mail to go out. I have my SP16 mail to go out next week because I know it's late but will still be within the month of March. Now to wait for my package from my SP16's package. Something to make me smile!

James C. Brett Marble Chunky

I've been using this for a while and loving the pattern, mainly I love the yellow, purple, white and pink mix, but there is also a beautiful blue, white and purple I want to try as I don't know the number I can only get them by mail order because my store sells out quickly and for 200g it goes a long way on the Knitting Board.
All the colours have nice mixes which I love!

There's a bunch of Blues in one mix which I'd like to get for a baby's blanket for my Husband's Cousin's Wife so I'm excited and want to get this blue as they know it'll be a boy!

But this I love the best!

New Knitting Club

I'm in a new Knitting Club, youngest by at least 25+ years but they are all nice and so interested in my Knitting board and Circular Looms. Currently they/me are making hats for men for the Winter. No idea what we're doing next but I did five hats this week alone and before I get there I'll have six done!

So I can't wait to see what happens next, it's interesting, the ladies are so nice and very polite. They even asked me about my tattoos! They enjoyed looking at the and such so I thought it was funny, they liked them all but the rats! LOL It was funny they eww'ed at them but it was rather funny!

New Puppy!!!

This weekend we're getting a new puppy!! It's a boy who will be called either Finnegan or Keagen or possibly even Kinzer Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is the breed. I think it's going to be great but if you have a name ideas please post so that I can get an idea on the names we picked.

We've seen the photo of him and he's adorable well both are as we get to pick from two boys and just so cute is the word!! I can't wait to have him climbing all over me and chasing Baxter and watching our first puppy grow up and play with us from very real puppy to old dog. All our other dogs/bitches have been rescues with history of only one! So this will be a new experience for us!!

I do hope that he doesn't eat my Knitting Board, Circular Looms or my yarn!!! He'll live on my bed with me and Baxie when he wants to see me. But all my yarn is all around my bedroom and I need to have it cleaned up ASAP!!
But I'm still excited about it all!!

New baby puppy, I can't wait!!!

Sorry for the delay

Sorry for my delay but I've been in and out of hospital for my ear with a constant ear infection, well that's now fixed but it's taken my hearing with it. I can barely hear normal tones now so it's a good thing I don't have to talk as I scream a lot when ears are clogged.
Now I'm due to a set of hearing aids :( But no option here...

Still looking for a new dog for Baxter as he's lonely but we think he LOVES the over attention he's been getting! All the better for him. We went to the kennel and got a few dogs in mind for him to possibly like. Another Staffie (I know I said no more terriers but this one is adorable!!) This one is a pure white Staffie Terrier, and I've already named her Taffy! So all the better but if Baxter doesn't like her or she doesn't like Baxter then there's nothing we can do about it but keep saving for the Basset Puppy which there are lots of around currently.

We're also waiting on two female chipmunks from a friend. These two will be brown so our litter mix will be white and brown. We're excited about this as it will be our first litter of chipmunk babies!! Anyone wanting any VERY easy care pets, that are very entertaining let me know!! I'm taking pre-orders for them, seriously they're so easy to keep, feed and they are so very entertaining!! Hours of watching them run around and chase easy each other if you get two!

I've been working on hats for Simon's cousin's partner's new baby due in May. So I've been making hats for him, it's like so very easy to make with the new Circle Looms I now have! Neither Simon or I am into hats but I can make this baby hats forever!! LOL
Now to make him a blanket that he'll love and will match his hat, but maybe making him a jumper first would be better! It's very soft and all in pastel colours, White, Yellow, Green, Blue and Pink, yes Pink but I doubt a little will both him and I don't think Mum to be will mind either. I also made him a Black and White so it's all natural for either Boy or Girl! Just in case the scan might have been wrong, I doubt it but I hope she likes the hats and the Pastel hat will stretch a bit for him.

Well back to things again and hopefully until I get my letter about it's time to pack my ears to get sized for the hearing aids. Then go in and get them, well at least the volume will go from over 40 to back down to 12 and I can read a book instead of listening to them all the time. Always looking for the books on Kindle with Speech Enabled On so I can get through it and such.

Sorry about the delay but I'm back I hope and will be posting again!

Have you seen or used this knitting machine??

Prym Knitting Machine I found in a magazine, you're suppose to be able to make tubes and panels ans other shapes on this machine. I asked on KWON on Ravelry and only one person had heard of it sadly but please comment if you use or know about this. This polite woman also mentioned something about it being on YouTube and thinking it was fake so I'm going to search out on YouTube and see what I can find and if it's worth the cost.

I really want it to do a lot of things before I put out all that money, I already have the Knitting Board and the Circular Looms, but just cranking a handle and making something 50% at least quicker is appealing to me, but again there is the cost issue.

I also want the other Weaving Looms but again it's cost over what I already have. It will come down to talking to Si and asking him which I can have or if he'll allow both! Not that I need to ask him but it's more polite to ask him about it then just buying them and starting an argument because it's over £100 for both so you get the idea about what each costs.

So please if you have any information about the knitting machine post a comment so I can figure out how. Many thanks in advance!!.

Dyeing Fluff

I have a bunch of 100% Merino Fibre and since when I practise I prefer to do it with colour! I'm still on the practise, practise, practise part with the spinning but at least now I'm getting there a bit more and more each day. I'm at least doing about a foot spun a day! I'm not running on fast but actually quite slow but I'm told that it'll be in time my speed will pick up.

Plus a very good wonderful friend of mine also spins and I'd love to make some dyed Merino for her, so I'm soaking some currently overnight so the acid and salt get into all the fibres overnight. I have some colours made up already but I want to try something funky for her and see how it all works out. I have a lot of colours to choose from but I'm not going to ask her I'm going to dye it with what I have. So it will actually be a surprize to me as well!

Simon loves when it comes time for cooking the fibre, he stands on the steps and watches it cook in the microwave until it's all clear water draining if any is left. I have a huge airing cupboard and my fibre is usually dried in about two days maximum! I'm lucky enough to have the heated airing cupboard where I know others who don't have one and have to dry in other methods.

Now to have fun with it and make something my friend will want to spin!

Round Robin...

Joined a Round Robin but done in a different way, lucky I didn't ask much on my theme I'm hoping. I'm Buddhist/Wiccan and had asked for incense for my meditation so all I can hope for is easy and also mentioned that my favourite scent is Vanilla with hopes I get something Vanilla! I also put down Buddha statues the little cheap ones as I collect Buddha statues from a three foot tall one to a 200 year old one so I have everything in between!

Now I can only hope the ones I get are just as easy and clear as what I asked for. I dread a theme of Winter, what would you put in for that, I'd have to stalk them and find out what they're into and figure out what Winter means. Something small that means winter to me would be Silver and/or Blue.

It's definitely one for making you think and wok hard on which I think is the reason for it. Oh well I signed up for it and I'll do my best with it!!

I have my Spindles!!!

Well I have my Spindles and they are so beautiful!! Once I learn how to add photos I'll add one of the here of both the Monkey Pod Russian and the Pink Ivory Rose. I was trying them out yesterday and they were great I wasn't as I'm new to the spinning craft but I know with all the help from Lisa Chan of Gripping Yarn and a lot and more practise I'll get the hang of it sooner or later and knowing me the later is the better part!
I love these Spindles and can't wait until I can actually use them properly and make thicker yarn for myself and trade it around.
Send some to Anita! :)

But I know as everyone has said practise practise practise and more practise will get me going and not to over-do it either but do it enough to learn something new each time I try. So all I can do is as told!

I have also realized tax will hit me each time I order one unless I ship to Anita first if she doesn't mind. It's not a huge thing but it's a long wait between cheques!

Photos soon to come!!

New Blog

To those that know I've had to start a new blog as I forgot to pay over the holidays and they erased an entire year of blogging and lots of questionnaires and extra info. Sadly unless I repost what little I can remember nobody will know about me!!
I love making purses, I love purses in general, never had a Lime Green one but might look at making one as my current project is Lime green silk fingerless gloves with pinks and purples mixes in on another yarn. not too sure I like it but it is unique!

I have found a UFO, it's about a year old and not on my board but it's a shawl, made from bamboo tape so it's very airy but it;s just for my decoration around the house and my shoulders when in my wheelchair. But this will be my first shawl as I'm still learning!

Spindles held hostage for tax :(

Well thankfully my spindles have arrived but sadly they are being held hostage for TAXES!! It's not a huge amount but more then I currently have :( So my beautiful custom made Spindles are in the hands of the (shiver!!) POST OFFICE!! They have lost so many things of mine I can't trust them very long with what they hold for me!!
I have I think two weeks to get it out which I can get the money together in time thankfully!!

Post Office for example, today 18-01-11 they made a delivery at 6:30AM!! Then made another delivery at 8:15AM!! Why not just wake us one time instead of keep knocking at our door and not a polite knock a pounding at the door so we jump out of our beds startled!!

Thankfully one delivery was my new spinning bowl! It's a beautiful bowl made from a dark wood and it should work perfectly now I have both I just can't wait to pay ransom taxes on my spindles and then I can finally get started finally with my spinning!!! All I can think of is spinning as it's so close to time to save the money for them!!
Many thanks go to Lisa at Gripping Yarns for my spindles which she lovingly crafts each by hand. Which is why I can't wait to get my hands on them :) !!!

Future blanket

Not sure if this could be called an UFO, but cost limits me with buying the yarn for a HUGE blanket for the bed. It's in Pinks, Whites, Purples and a little Yellow. A beautiful mix of colouring shades! But because each panel is about eight feet long by three and half feet wide it takes a long time to get this done, I now have enough yarn for another panel. When done I'll have over six panels for my bed, mainly because my Hubby is a blanket thief!!

Current Project

Currently I'm still working on my Hubby's Jumper, I have nearly most the yarn to finish knitting it, I'm just about done one sleeve, on the final colour and skein.
I can't wait to get the other sleeve finished. I have some odd-ball yarn colours in case there isn't enough in the sleeve left to make it long enough as well.
I had to pick a yarn that is discontinued!!! Bad luck, but that's my luck!!

Sad New Years Eve, Bad New Years Still...

On New Years Eve we sadly put down Key Lime our baby girl Staffie. She was about 10 or older and just suddenly went down hill and nothing we did helped her, sadly...

So Baxter is depressed and very lovey dovey to both Simon and I. So we were able to find the Basset Rescue, we were lucky enough to get an 11 month old puppy! We named him Logan and at first he was perfect for us, until he got a rawhide and then managed to nearly take Baxter's face off just for walking past him!! Ok aggressive but maybe just today. He was then playing with a toy and flipped it to me as I tried to toss it back to him he bit my hand!! Then he bit Simon's hand and steel tipped boots and had us both pinned in specific spots in the living room!!
This dog is more then aggressive he's vicious and evil!! This coming from a previous Basset Hound Breeder!!

So we got home around 2pm and he was out of the house going back to the rescue centre at 10pm!

Next option, getting a real young puppy, again a Basset!

We tried, didn't work and new thought process...

Bad New Years Eve, so far Bad New Years start....

Knitting Board Knitting

I don't use any needles or such, I use a knitting board which lets me make lots of different things just like using a circular needle and making long panels of things. I can't do circular things on the board but I just got Circular Looms for great number of things!!
www.knittingboard.com
That's the link for looking at the knitting board in action.
I don't have any for the Circle Looms, sorry!
